History

Ambria College of Nursing was founded in 2006 as Americare Institute.  In 2009, we received approval from the U.S Department of Education to offer Financial Aid or Title IV . In the same year, we were approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education as a college.

On March 15, 2011 we received a full Associates Degree in Nursing approval from the Illinois Board of Nursing, and we changed our name to Ambria College of Nursing to reflect our RN program.

In October 2013, we also received an approval from IBHE to offer a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. In June 2014, we received an accreditation approval to offer a Distance Learning Program (online courses).

Ambria offers LPN, LPN-to-RN, and RN-to-BSN programs. Day and evening classes are offered with full-time and part-time options for all programs.
