Straight RN Program

Ambria offers a straight, traditional nursing program. Upon successful completion of the AAS program, graduates receive an Associates of Applied Science in Nursing degree and are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN licensing board exam to become a registered nurse.

Applicant seeking admission into the AAS program are required to meet the following requirements below. Please note, meeting the admission requirements is no guarantee of admission until applicants receive a formal acceptance letter.

Deadlines & Mandatory Events

In order to start the program in January, you must:

  • Submit all application documents by Dec 28, 2018
  • Complete FAFSA (Ambria OPE-ID: 041247) by Dec 28, 2018
  • Submit Castle Branch results no later than 3:00 PM on Dec 28, 2018:
    - Background check and drug screening results.
    - In order to register for NUR 101, ALL other clinical health requirements must be completed.
  • Register for classes no later than 11:59 PM on Dec 28, 2018
  • Attend New Student Orientation on Jan 7, 2019 (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

All applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of enrollment and must have a high school diploma or GED equivalence.

General Admission Requirements

Submit official Transcripts

Achieve a minimum of 60% on the TEAS exam

Achieve 70% or higher on the Reading or EQUIVALENT

Achieve 75% or higher on the Math or EQUIVALENT

Complete Prerequisites or EQUIVALENT

Show proof of valid C.N.A license

Undergo Background Check and Drug Test

Participate in the straight RN interview selection process

Additional Requirements

Submit a copy of your Driver’s License and Social Security Card

Apply for the federal financial aid (FAFSA ID: 041247)

Submit a high school diploma, transcripts, or GED

Complete Nursing Program Admission Application

Sign Enrollment Agreement

Attend the Clinical Workshop

Meet with an Admission advisor
