What are the admission requirements needed to enter the program?
Ambria College of Nursing makes it incredibly easy for you to apply. Getting into our RN-to-BSN program requires minimum hassle. It's pretty straightforward -- And all you have to do are the following steps:
- Submit your valid, unrestricted state RN license.
- Submit your official transcripts with a minimum G.P.A of 2.5
- Submit a letter of recommendation.
Do credits transfer from other schools?
Yep. Credits you've taken from accredited institutions transfer to our nursing program.
How long is the program?
That’s all up to you. The duration of our program is completely customized to suit your personal needs. If you’re up to the challenge, our program can be completed as a full time student in just 8 months! Looking for a more standard class load? Your BSN degree can be completed in 12 months as a part-time student. Trying to balance your work and family schedule? Take our extended track option and complete your degree in 16 months. On your terms.
What are the required core nursing courses?
There are only eight required nursing courses for the RN-to-BSN program. They are as follows:
- Keys to Success
- Nursing Theory
- Nursing Research
- Ethical and Legal Issues and Nursing
- Nursing Informatics
- Community Health
- Role Advancement in Nursing
- Leadership/Capstone
What are the required general education courses?
There are only five required general education courses in the RN-to-BSN program. They are as follows:
- English Composition II
- Statistics
- Critical Thinking
- Interpersonal Skills Development
- Cross-Cultural Awareness
What are the required elective courses?
Either transfer electives you already have, or take some with us.
- Physical Science (Choose one from the list).
Physics, Chemistry, Earth Science, Astronomy, Geology,
Physical Geology
* Intro to Physical Geography (available at Ambria)
- Humanities (Choose one from the list).
History, Literature, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Foreign Language (400 level)
* American Civilization(available at Ambria)
- Fine Arts (Choose one from the list).
Any Performing, Visual or Interdisciplinary Art
* Intro to Film (available at Ambria)
What courses have any expiration?
There are no expiration dates on transfer credits.
How much is the RN-to-BSN program?
With our nursing scholarship, the cost of our RN-to-BSN program is around $10,000.
I'm working and have a very rigid work schedule. Can I work while pursuing my BSN?
Absolutely! Our program is designed specifically for working adults like you.
Is Ambria accredited?
Ambria College of Nursing is accredited by Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). We are also pursuing the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
Are there any scholarships available?
What does the schedule look like?
Classes are based primarily online. However, you will have the chance to touch base with classmates and your professor a few times throughout your course at Ambria for extra help.
Do you offer online classes?
Yes! In fact, our entire program is offered completely online. Now you can work towards your Bachelor’s degree from the comfort of your own home.
Do I need to take NCLEX-RN again at the end of the program?
Relax. Once you have your A.D.N., there’s no need to take the NCLEX again after completing our BSN program.
Is there a G.P.A requirement?
A minimum of 2.5 G.P.A is required.
What are the pre-requisites courses required to enter the program?
There are no pre-requisite courses for the RN-to-BSN program.
